It’s rare to see a capsule collection of shoes that seem to fit every occasion. And the fact that no animals died to make these to-die-for shoes makes them even more fabulous-that’s right, these stylish shoes are vegan and cruelty free!
And the names of the shoes are killer! The ‘Simone’ shoe was named after Simone De Beauvoir (“in honour of French philosopher and feminist Simone de Beauvoir”, ‘Emerson’ after Ralph Waldo Emerson (“a central figure in Transcendentalism, Ralph Waldo Emerson explored human nature and individuality. He held badass progressive views on feminism“).
Los Angeles-based vegan shoe brand SUSI, are my latest shoe crush and were created by Bianca Moran.
Bianca discovered veganism when she moved to Barcelona at 14 years old, and in February 2015, Bianca opened SUSI Restaurant in the Philippines, the first gluten-free, vegan eatery in the country.
So inspired by these values, and the gap in the fashion industry for versatile, cruelty-free footwear, Bianca began sketching designs and SUSI Studio was born.
