She was born in Northern Alberta:

Roseanne Supernault is a Canadian actress and was born in northern Alberta. Her mother was an artist and her father was a politician. Due to her mother’s interest in the creative arts such as theater and dance, it was not surprising that Roseanne pursued a career as a professional actress.

She was discovered by an agent as a teenager:

Supernault was only 13 years old when she was signed by a Los Angeles Casting Director who saw one of her performances. Which was a testament to her raw skill as a young actress.

She was the star of the Canadian film Maina:

One of Supernault’s first big roles was being cast as the lead character, Maina in the film by the same name. In the film, Maina is the daughter of a native Canadian chief and embarks on a dangerous quest to rescue a young boy from her tribe from the clutches of the Inuits. Who kidnapped the boy as a slave, following a battle. Supernault’s performance was positively received and she ended up winning the 2013 best actress award at the American Indian Film Festival. Due to the success of Maina, Supernault was quickly cast in further roles.

She appeared in a TV series which was developed by the makers of Downton Abbey:

Supernault also appeared in Jamestown, a major production that was produced by the critically acclaimed producers of Downton Abbey.

She played twins in the film Neither Wolf Nor Dog:

She appeared in a Netflix show:

One of her milestones as an actress was being cast in the Netflix show Blackstone. A successful show which premiered five seasons and focused on the stories of indigenous peoples who live in the Blackstone Reserve. Supernault runs acting classes in Vancouver for indigenous youths as she is passionate about developing the creative gifts of aboriginal actors. As she is proud of being of Cree and Metis descent. She hopes that her classes will give her students an opportunity to make a professional living in the entertainment industry and that those students who only study acting for a short period of time will still learn valuable skills, which will put them in good stead.
