How to Apply Feng Shui Principles to Daily Life

July 16, 2021 · Cherry · Leave a Comment

By now, we all have heard about the popular art of Feng Shui. This practice focuses on the arrangement of the items within your home’s rooms to reduce negative energies, create needed space and appeal, and maximize good spiritual energy within you and around the area.

With so many benefits to this ancient technique, it’s no wonder that many people continue to use it throughout their living quarters. That said, wouldn’t it be great to apply Feng Shui principles outside of the home and through everything that you do?

The good news is that you can! This article will show you what you need, to master the art of Feng Shui and take it with you no matter where you go. Read on to find out more!

1. Assume a Commanding Position

Many of us are used to taking a more reserved and disengaged position in life because that’s what we’ve been taught. After all, doing what society expects is how we stay in the good graces of our peers.

However, being passive and following the wills of others is an easy way to lose yourself. You can fix this by taking a more commanding position in your life.

The essence of Feng Shui begins with knowing who you are and asserting yourself into your space. Once you can validate your self-worth and take the reigns over your life, everything else about the ancient art becomes much easier.

2. Clear Your Clutter

Our lives are full of things that we don’t need, and that clutter can take up valuable space for growth. Just like a cluttered spirit can’t grow and become better, a cluttered physical space is limiting and is sure to cause stress and a hindrance to progress.

Clearing the clutter in your area is a great way to promote physical space and freedom, which will transfer into a spiritual cleansing. Take time to remove the blockage in your life by throwing out what you don’t need to make room for your Feng Shui practices.

3. Take Heed of the Elements

In the practice of Feng Shui, there are five elements to consider: fire, water, earth, metal, and wood. Each of these elements holds its own special properties, and you’ll want to incorporate a bit of each one to get the most out of your area.

For example, you can represent wood (the element of renewal) with a potted plant. Water (the element of serenity) can be represented with a desktop water fountain, and fire (the element of energy) can be represented with a beautiful lamp. Having all of the elements present is needed for maximum energy and enlightenment.
